ya totally get this reasoned take. however would just caution that if Bronze is losing 2 out of every 3 duels she contests this tournament, you might as well throw Greenwood back out there and switch Daly to Bronze's side. Wiegman can say the whole team is 100% healthy all she wants. LB doesn't get bodied like she did yesterday often and I am hoping she is going to improve from here. just don't know how realistic that is given all her body has gone thru. Bronze being excellent has always been a given for this team. don't know if thats true at this moment.

I thought Bronze was pretty good for large portions of the game although I think it was frustrating from an England perspective that she had to play the full 90 minutes. I do think what she offers in terms of experience and the tactical ability to tuck in and let Stanway push forward is worth more than what Daly would offer from the right. According to Opta, only Lauren Hemp had more shot creating actions than Bronze!

for sure. love her going forward. i am specifically concerned about the instances in this match where she just straight up lost out in physical ground duels where in days gone by she used to just sort of.. like, hip check the opposition out of the way and keep rolling. that wasn't there last night. even if she is the second best chance creator on this team, i worry about when the ball gets turned over and her ability to track back when she's caught forward on last nights evidence. if she's genuinely able to sprint BACK after carrying forward, then happy days and we can chalk it up to one weird night physically! just hoping that mounting list of injuries she's come thru haven't caught up and are perhaps limiting her getting back as aggressively as she would normally do. Not something that concerned many against Austria, but those transition opportunities given away could be lethal down the line.
