The Women’s Super League finally gets underway on Sunday 1st October. Chelsea are gunning for a fifth consecutive title, Arsenal and Manchester City are both without Champions League football to distract them, and Manchester United will be desperate to show last season’s second placed finish wasn’t just a one-time thing.
Teams like Liverpool, Brighton and Leicester have all recruited extensively over the summer in the hope they can push up the table, whilst Aston Villa have demonstrated their continued intent to push towards the Champions League position.
Tottenham have a new manager to try and help them avoid another relegation battle, and Everton will want to build on Brian Sørensen’s first season, At the bottom, it looks like it could be a tough year for Bristol City and West Ham.
